Rhys is a Partner and International Sustainability & ESG Lead at global law firm, DLA Piper. Rhys is an Australian and US-qualified lawyer with 15 years’ experience advising in relation to environmental, social and governance issues, particularly in relation to the development and financing of major projects in the energy and natural resources and infrastructure, construction and transport sectors, including in Africa.

Rhys advises clients on a range of sustainability-related legal issues, including ESG policies, ESG due diligence, climate risk disclosure, sustainability reporting and green and sustainability-linked financing.  

Rhys is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of the Governance and Advisory Board for the Australian National Contact Point established under the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, a leading global responsible business framework.
