Dr Yaw Gyamfi

Chairman of the Board | Danadams Pharmaceuticals

Dr. Gyamfi holds a Doctorate degree in Pharmacy from Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, and is a fellow of the West African College of Postgraduate Pharmacists.  He has also completed an Executive MBA degree at Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). He obtained two Bachelor of Science degrees in both Chemistry and Mathematics from Clark-Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A.  In Ghana, he attended Konongo-Odumasi and completed G.C.E “O” Level in 1975 and continued at Opoku Ware Secondary School to complete his “A” level Certificate.  He is the Founder and currently the Group Chairman of the successful Danpong Group of Companies in Ghana, which includes Danadams Manufacturing and Danpong Healthcare.

He is the current President of Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), and former 1st Vice President of Ghana Employers Association (GEA). He also serves as a Commissioner on Public Utility Regulatory Commission and former Board Chairman for Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company on Spintex Road and Ghana Pharmacy Council. He is a Council Member of Akenten Appiah-Minkah Skills Development University in Kumasi, and Advisory Council of the College of Pharmaceutical Science of Univ. of Cape Coast.

He is also serving as Chairman of Lifeline for Childhood Cancer in Ghana.

He served as a Council member of the following Universities in Ghana; University of Health and Allied Health Services,(UHAS) Ho, and Chairman of Ghana Central University School of Pharmacy, Ghana College of Post-Graduate Pharmacists, and Mountcrest University. He is a Pastor of Eternal Light Ministries International. He is married  and blessed with children.
