Diogo Xavier da Cunha is the Managing Partner at Miranda & Associados, a role which he took on in 2015. He joined the firm 20 years ago, having his practice focused on Energy and Natural Resources, Power and Mining, Corporate & Commercial, Mergers & Acquisitions and Banking and Finance.

Before working at Miranda, Diogo spent 3 years in the United Kingdom, where he had the opportunity to work as a lawyer at Swycher & Co., a boutique firm involved in real estate transactions and related cross-border financing, and qualified as a Solicitor of the Law Society of England and Wales. He received his post-graduated title in European Studies at Coimbra University Law School, the same school where he took his degree in Law. He is also admitted to the Portuguese Bar.

Diogo has extensive international experience, in particular in transactions and projects in Mozambique, Angola and Brazil. He is a recognized foreign expert on the Mozambican market, having written several articles on different legal topics and served as a speaker in multiple domestic and international conferences. He is a member of several international organizations, including the International Bar Association (IBA) and the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN).
