David Meredith is a Partner at McKinsey & Company and leads the firm’s work globally with donors and development partners, with a particular focus on private capital mobilisation. He has advised governments, DFIs, and investors on how to unlock investment into strategic sectors, build investment platforms, and deploy blended approaches that crowd in commercial capital. David serves as the Director of Manufacturing Africa, the flagship FCDO investment facilitation programme. Under David's leadership the Manufacturing Africa programme has helped businesses across Africa raise over £2.2 billion and create over 150,000 jobs in sectors spanning pharmaceuticals, agri-processing, electric vehicles, and circular economy industries. With deep experience spanning economic development, corporate finance, and delivery, David brings a practical perspective on how development finance can adapt to a more constrained aid environment while driving greater scale and impact.
