Tom leads Control Risks consulting business across the Africa & Middle East and is based in Dubai. He has considerable expertise in advising businesses as they embark on growth strategies across the region, helping them manage the challenges and complexities inherent with operating in Africa and the Middle East. Control Risks has 11 offices and supports client projects in all countries across the Africa & Middle East region. Prior to his current role Tom lived in Nigeria managing the West Africa business for 8 years. Experience in the Africa region ranges from responding to kidnap & crisis situations to providing support around security, reputational, operational & political risks and strategic business intelligence. 

Prior to Control Risks, Tom was formerly a Vice President with International SOS in North America and before that enjoyed success working for the executive board on a number of international strategy assignments across the Group. Prior to this, Tom worked as a management consultant advising blue-chip clients on growth strategies & organisational re-structuring and change projects across the world. Tom has undertaken further & executive education at Harvard Business School, INSEAD, Aston University and the Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Bordeaux.
